I tailor my art workshops for people of all abilities, from total beginners to art groups looking to try new techniques. Each workshop can have a different theme, focussing on areas such as techniques, fun for first timers and well-being, and in some cases all three!

Art for well-being

My drawing workshops are relaxed, fun and suitable for those who have no previous artistic knowledge or experience. These workshops are about the process of drawing rather than the end results. I teach you different ways of pen drawing so you have a range of methods to work with. This is not about your artistic talent but about using pen drawing in a relaxed environment to help relieve levels of worry, stress and anxiety. The aim is to look at how the simple act of pen drawing can help with your holistic well-being and mindfulness.

Art workshops for all abilities

Relaxed, fun art workshops suitable for those who have no previous artistic knowledge or experience. Again, these workshops are about the process of drawing rather than the end results. To get caught up in the different techniques and processes of drawing rather than aiming for a high-quality finished piece of work – although if there’s a good outcome it’s always nice! Many participants surprise themselves with their results, as by trying and being guided with new techniques in a relaxed environment beautiful work can emerge.

Pen and watercolour workshops

For art clubs, classes and those with a little more experience I run Pen and Watercolour workshops. We look at the different pen techniques and then we build on the drawing by adding watercolour using my ‘dry’ technique. This can work if you’re experienced or not.

Wellness workshops such as my Drawing for Wellness interactive sessions can be part of your company’s employee well-being strategy. As companies take a more holistic approach to employee well-being, the focus is not just on physical health but also on mental, emotional and social well-being. My interactive drawing workshops help employees with mental well-being, and stress management and can be part of social connection initiatives within a company’s wellness programmes. As part of my holistic corporate work, I am also partnered with Tonic Wellbeing to help bring these interactive mindful drawing sessions to more organisations and companies.
